Compensation:  $19.23-23.55 per hour

Summary of Function
The Youth Services Coordinator- Staffing and Resources is responsible for organizing program operations and providing guidance and supervision to the Youth Care Workers/Specialists assigned to the program. This position  is responsible for the overall management of the program and assures that all Methodist Home policies, procedures, and programming practices are appropriately implemented.

DutyDeadlines
Shift Scheduling & Staffing
  • Build and distribute the monthly staffing schedule in coordination with Clinical Director
  • Monitor and reconcile shift coverage daily
  • Identify gaps and find coverage as soon as possible
 
  • Ensure next month’s schedule is completed by the 15th of the current month.
  • Each Wednesday identify any gaps for the coming seven days, with special focus on the weekend. Be prepared to discuss any problems at Program Team meeting.


 
Monthly Direct Care Staff Meeting
Collaborate with clinical team to draft agenda items (training, policy updates, case reviews)
  • Prepare any printed materials for the meeting
  • Take minutes
  • Distribute minutes


 
  • Agenda 1 weeks prior
  • Minutes emailed within 2 business days
Staff Supervisions
  • Conduct structured one-on-one sessions covering performance, training needs, goals
  • Use standardized supervision form and document in personnel file
  • Provide coaching and follow-up on action steps
  • Promptly completed any disciplinary actions
  • Is primarily responsible for the overall wellbeing and support of the Youth Care Associates/Specialists. Assuring that the Youth Care Associates are adequately cared for, taking adequate time off, and have necessary resources to do their jobs.

Misc. Staffing Duties
  • Weekly staff email
  • YCA Interviews
  • Enter and approve requests/payroll adjustments in ADP
  • SCM Makeups


 
  • Send email each Friday
  • ADP on Finance/HR timeline
  • SCM as determined in coordination with the Trainer.


Resident Days
  • Track where each resident is in their program and communicate to the team
     



 
  • Prepare for treatment team on Monday
  • Email to team on Tuesday morning.

Library & Resource Management
  • Inventory cottages’ library collections and identify gaps
  • Order new books/games based on residents’ interests and educational goals
  • Coordinate with community partners for donations

Incident Reports
  • Review all incident reports
  • Ensure that each IR contains only one incident and that separate IRs are completed as needed
  • Ensure that all additional participants are tagged and completing their portion
  • Ensure that the trainer is pulling and archiving relevant videos
  • Ensure the debrief process is being followed and documented.


 
  • Each weekday, IRs should be reviewed and any corrective action taken
  • Ensure that video is secured within 24 hours
  • Ensure that additional participants have done their portion within 24 hours
  • Follow-debrief timeline





Celebrations
  • Coordinate the purchase of client birthday gifts and meals
  • Coordinate logistics for transition meals
  • Notify Nicholasville campus of any phase walks where clients will be outside alone.
  • Ensure that all meals/food/supplies are covered for holidays or other times when the dining hall is closed (If Facilities team is unable to provide coverage)

 

Shared Duties

  • Provide support for other YSCs as necessary
  • Ensure coverage by other members of clinical during PTO
Job Specifications
  1. Must be at least 21 years of age.
  2. Must have a valid state of residence driver’s license.
  3. Successful completion of a thorough background check.
  4. Bachelor’s Degree or four years’ experience with direct childcare in a residential or mental health setting is preferred.
  5. Maintains required annual training as applicable per education level.
  6. s trained in Safe Crisis Management (SCM) Emergency Safety Physical Interventions (ESPI).  Remains current on ESPI review.  Is willing to use ESPI when necessary in keeping with our policy.
  7. Is trained in CPR and First Aid.  Remains current.
