Status: Full Time
Hours: 40 hours per week – Rotates on-call
Department: RTX
Primary Shift: Varies as needed
Reports to: Residential Clinical Director

Summary of Function
The Youth Services Coordinator- Case Management and Programming is responsible for organizing program operations and providing guidance and supervision to the Youth Care Workers/Specialists assigned to the program. This position is responsible for the overall management of the program and assures that all Methodist Home policies, procedures, and programming practices are appropriately implemented.
 
Case Management
  • Hold weekly individual sessions with each resident on case load.
  • Document all contacts and case notes in Welligent
  •  Coordinate referrals with external agencies as needed
  • Coordinate all client visitations
  • Notify Social Worker (copy Director and Therapist) any time there is a critical incident.
 
  • Sessions weekly
  • documentation in Welligent in 24 hours
  • Notify social workers same business day
  • All visitation forms completed the day before visitations
 
Resident Inventory
  • Coordinate inventory walkthrough with specialist upon admission
  • Ensure each item is logged in Welligent
  • Secure in storage per guidelines
  • Obtain resident and specialist sign-off
  • For all client purchases and/or rotation of items, ensure that all locations are updated in Welligent so that the inventory is accurate at all times.
  • Ensure that every single item in inventory is tagged with client initials (no items in the inventory room that are not connected to a particular client).
  • Immediately ensure that any donations leave the clinical wing and are taken to the Teen Shop for processing.
 
  • New client inventory within 24 hours of admission
  • Inventory adjustments at the time of purchase or rotation.
 

Cottage Activities
  • Develop plans for cottage activities on and off campus
  • Ensure implementation of cottage activities in conjunction with YCA/YCS.
  • Pre-purchase any tickets for events with PR and receipts submitted to Administrative Coordinator.
  • Ensure that any necessary meal accommodations are made
Shared Duties
  • As needed transportation
  • Cottage coverage
  • On-Call
  • Provide support for other YSCs as necessary
  • Ensure coverage by other members of clinical during PTO

Job Specifications
  1. Must be at least 21 years of age.
  2. Must have a valid state of residence driver’s license.
  3. Successful completion of a thorough background check.
  4. Bachelor Degree in Social Work preferred.  Experience with direct childcare in a residential or mental health setting is preferred.
  5. Maintains required annual training as applicable per education level.
  6. Is trained in Safe Crisis Management (SCM) Emergency Safety Physical Interventions (ESPI).  Remains current on ESPI review.  Is willing to use ESPI when necessary in keeping with our policy. 
  7. Is trained in CPR and First Aid.  Remains current.
